Alternators was often seen as the closest to MPs for the non-major characters though, they were still reasonably popular up until 2012 with the introduction of MP Sideswipe. I want to believe there's still a niche for them that 3ps could cash on, there really isn't any other modern toyline taking the premise of turning modern G1-based robots into 1:24 automobiles and that's sort of a pity.

On a related note, playing with MP1 is a genuinely great sensation, he actually feels like a giant mechanical robot instead of a bogstandard action figure like MP10. Not that I don't appreciate the more bogstandard "action-figure-ish" modern MPs, but it's still a pity Hasbro didn't keep on going with this same STRONK-tier design philosophy in parallel.

Anyone still has their Binaltech displayed alongside MP01/MP04/MP05 on a separate shelf? It's the only thing that scales with them correctly in comparison to the new downscaled Masterpieces desu.
