>>5456368I've always found that looking at both official sets and other people's MOCs really helps me with building my own stuff. My personal preferences for build inspiration comes from non-canister Toa from G1, the Barraki, and very System/Technic-heavy MOCs (that last one would probably be more apparent if I had more technic parts, let alone more parts in general).
Also play around with connections and see what works. I've been messing around with system parts for the last week or so and have been pleasantly surprised by how effective they are at making BIG MEATY CLAWS
