>>8496775>I think the 90s aesthetic is completely hideous.The early 90s Ariel dolls were kinda rough but the late 90s Ariel's were wonderful. Tyco toys really didn't make dolls before they got the Little Mermaid license in the late 80s so they were basically learning as they went along. Still the Tyco dolls had a really cute face sculpt.
Once Disney handed the Little Mermaid license to Mattel in 1996 Mattel started to produce quality Ariel dolls until the mid 2000s. There wasn't a single doll with molded on cloths. Even the $9 budget bathtime playline Ariel dolls had real quality underwear under hear tail. The quality of all Mattel Disney dolls started to go down somewhere around 2005.
