>>6311082I genuinely dislike them for several reasons.
1.) Unecessarily out of scale, not only with other PR figures, but pretty much every other line on the market. Why 6.5? Such a dumb random scale.
2.) Shitty sculpts. Bandai has shown the ability to move past the roid ranger aesthetic and produce more show faithful sculpts, so these seem like a step backwards. The girls are even worse with comically huge tits and tiny waists. Also the skirts are garbage and kill the leg articulation because they're so rigid. The mainline Ninja Steel figures have better skirts that actually allow the girls to move their legs.
3.) Lack of weapons. Out of scale Megazord build a figures were a dumb gimmick that added nothing to the line. They needed to have their personal weapons and alt sidearm modes much more.
4.) Inconsistency. Three of the MMPR's have white belts, three have silver. Two have black bolts on their morphers, four don't. Call it autistic, but I expect better from an adult geared collector's line.
5.) Miscellaneous odd choices.
-Why do the MMPRs have those weird Ninja Storm-esc shoulders? They're a different sculpt from the Ninja Storm shoulders so it's not a cost saving measure.
-Why is Jason's helmet so off-model? Green Ranger, while not as bad, is also quite off compared to the others.
-Why do the Ninja Storm Rangers have permanently holstered swords as well as unholstered swords? Why not just have functional holsters?
-Why don't the girls have double elbows?
-Why don't the guys have ball mid torsos like the girls instead of the more limited (and uglier) ab crunch?
-Why do the wrist joints protrude so damn much?
-Why are they not completing teams before moving on?
