>>8407840because greed and because people put up lower quality goods with more defects.
We recently had a thread about this and have had an uptick in general about companies raising prices while taking features away.
>>8406838>sometimes I wonder what it was like for kids that got to go regularly.Probably how i felt about KayBee.
Also, in one mall near me, there used to be a Kay Bees on the second floor and on the bottom floor, right next to one of anchor stores, there used to some toy store that was called Kodys or Koby's Toys and Hobbies.
They were muuuuuuuuch better than KB and the store seemed bigger too. They had "adult" toys like models and other cool as fuck shit that were probably imports (bootlegs too?). Their GI Joe section was massive compared to KB's paltry section, almost like you see in those old photos of TRU.
Shit was so fucking cash just going there, but i barely remember it, since it was much earlier in my childhood and was gone by the time i was old enough to really appreciate my toys.
They were actually more expensive than KB, so i didn't really buy much, but i loved how they had sections for different years of GI Joe figures (and other lines too). Tehy were organized as fuck and didn't mark up the prices either like you see in comic/toy shops today.
Sad thing is that i rarely went to that side of the mall, because my parents prefered going to opposite side of the mall with JCPennys and May Company.
