They basically just fold their thrusters into themselves, with the manipulator arms folding out of the way and Monkfish's collection bin splitting in two and forming hte side panes (Lobster's just unfolds on all three sides and lays flush with the rest of the unit). Not overly impressive, but it does the job, and everything clips together, so they stay tightly closed with no issues. Each unit gets its own storage box, too, so that's pretty nice.
