The stuff we're seeing on this Bandai figure is every motion stretches the silicone or rubber. It has to be tight against the joint or else it'll look wrong.
Even if they were the same material, the bandai joint would still look worse for it. It's akin to how the toe part of a leather shoe will look all creased up (bandai figure), whereas the area where the ankle is will still look almost brand new (Figma). Same leather, but it'll wear out differently because of where it's placed.
