>>5738709The short version is Galvatron and co attack cybertron to steal a new mcguffin and Rodimus decides they need to go balls in to stop him, Max says its too dangerous but Rodimus doesn't listen.
Zarak then realizes hed rather blow up all of cybertron than let the autobots keep the shit, so he laces vector sigma with bombs. Galvatron realizes hes been doublecrossed and runs into the planet to try to stop the explosion, while Rodimus and crew reluctantly retreat. Planet blows taking Galvatron with it.
Afterwords the crew is hanging out on the husk and Rodimus realizes Max was right about the danger and that he almost got everyone killed so he passes over leadership to Max and he and Kup fuck off to find a new home for them.
They actually reference that in the Unicron Trilogy with Excellion having been off on a mission with his crew
