>>8490198It feels like over the last couple decades the laws and regulations of the toy industry in the west have been getting increasingly tighter and more severe, which ultimately brought us to this point where you literally can't make and sell a good quality toy even if you wanted to. I mean, just look at the state of western toys now - Kinder Eggs are banned as a choking hazard, toy guns have to be neon colored sci-fi designs, super soakers have been nerfed to hell because their original water pressure was deemed too dangerous. And this is just the tip of the iceberg, imagine how much more fucked things are behind the scenes. When the unreasonably hardass legal system holds the industry by the balls like this it can't evolve and improve in the same ways the Japanese industry can with its far more relaxed laws on toys.
