On the surface it was a budget line comprising re-releases and repaints of their assortment from other series. What made it really memorable was how the cardbacks featured short story scenarios including the characters from each wave. It's a small change from the usual blurbs, but it really hammered in that crossover feel that made the line fun.
Also of note, their 10" line, with characters from the comics that their basic waves didn't cover. Especially important in a time where anyone who wasn't featured in a cartoon got ignored. Pic very related.
