>>10995958You are aware that this is original color scheme, right? I only used slightly different shade of red and gold, black parts were not painted at all, simply covered in gloss varnish. Surface effect you speak of is simply matter of how Army Painter dries, had same when I sprayed Fox (on pic, chest armor). Environmental factors have nothing to do here, as expected when spraying in sunny day, with around 20C outside, on third week without any sort of rain.
Don't need to remaind me of thinning paints, I paint miniatures on regular basis so I already know about it. Or perhaps you mean the gold layer? This indeed was rather failed experiment with Vallejo "Liquid Gold". It simply separate too quickly and since it's alcohol based, it easily reactivate any layer beneath. I will need to find better solution for gold - their Metal Color line is excellent and easily best metallic colours I dealt with but only gold in this line is silverly instead, probably to match shades on real life avionics.
