But when you have a super realistic, 1 to 1 version of a real human being (in this case, an actor) it's not enough to just buy the head and let some random artist paint it.
Especially when you want them to look like a certain character.
You need fitting eyes (correct size and texturing), a proper wig (as in, not some cheap fiber wig but a hand made one that looks like real hair made for the head), a realistic face-up, fitting clothes.
Not to mention that the body will still look somewhat weird because BJD ones are always so smooth and stylized.
Especially bad when, like in case of the first Namonaki heads, the heads already have casted textured skin.
Unless you are really invested in it and are willing to go the extra mile you will just end up with a super realistic head looking all weird on its body.
