The glue has held! For this torso anyway, the X's torso snapped for a second time, and I'll probably just leave it be since the GX-Bit is what I'm here for. Now that I've actually messed with it some, a slightly more proper review. Everything feels fragile. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, the figure as a whole is clearly more intended to be a configurable display piece rather than an articulated figure meant for hitting every pose in the book. The articulation setup feels very much 2007, so it's fine. A lot of simple pegs to make partswapping easier, the only parts I felt concerned about was the ball joint of the ankle. Also, the lower leg splits in two for the Gundam parts and Bit parts, and front of the shin kinda gets pushed out when put on the Bit parts, when they come on the Gundam parts and are flush.
For general appearances, the QC is a bit messy. The panel wash looks nice but the cleanup is very uneven. While I don't expect it to be 100% uniform, some areas just look a lot worse than other. There were also multiple scratches out of the box, and on one of my forearms there's some dark splatter, likely some splashed panel wash. The sculpt is overall very nice, and the fully painted and decaled look is very nice, and really a reminder that Bandai is saving bucks on paint these days.
Overall a decent figure, but the line is definitely not what anything they put out these days is meant to be. Stuff like Metal Build/Metal Composite aren't meant to be complete packages, selling you accessory sets constantly, but are probably the closest comparison these days, but the Fix Figuration is so much better for space. I can imagine myself having 5 of these for a nice Bit setup, and they're light enough I could get together some other stands to push them closer together. Would never even consider it at 1/100 with the weight of a Metal Build.
I'm pretty satisfied, and if I ever have a buyee order going or want to pick something up from manda, I'd grab another.
