https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCj5TO1btag So is this video just really badly lit or did Mattel find a way to fuck up the Destruct-A-Saur Raptor? The paint on it's head is a reflective gold but the paint from it's neck down is just a really muted orange for some reason?
I don't even understand what they were going for. If they couldn't afford gold paint all the way down it's body, why didn't they just use a nice yellowy orange, kind of like what I assumed was going on in the old promo pics? And if they wanted more of a gradient effect, then I feel like they shouldn't have had such a difference between the bright gold and dull orange.
I mean, it still looks pretty good, but I think it looked better in my head.
