In fact 1/24 is a "bigger" scale as in you are closer to 1/1 than say 1/144 so it stands to reason that the subject should be more detailed than your standard robot action figure. It should have fucking gears and actuators and wires and shit. If not as separate parts then at least molded on.
The fact that the actual kit is a bunch of smooth blocks with little to no detail that would suggest how the thing is supposed to move itself is to me the definition of "simple" and "dumbed down". You appear to have a different definition.
With that I stand by my earlier assessment and rest my case.
