>>10206902>>10206913No, he was grey in the game. Except in red stages, where he was kinda orangey. If it was this easy to palette-swap the sprites, I dunno why there weren't any brightly lit levels where he was purple.
But whatever. I figure they made the purple one cause they already made the paint masks, so why not. And maybe the orange repaint was just a little too specific and weird to do, so....purple.
