The crotch/waist/whatever thing just folds up onto Motormaster's back. It's pretty big and kind of bulky, but it's easy to just take off if you don't want it hanging off of him. The head outright replaces the Menasor head, so you can safely chuck or store the old Menasor head, whatever. Be advised you DO have to unscrew the basic Menasor head, you can't just pop it off the ball joint. And in my case, the screw was pure shit that basically tore off the moment I put any pressure on it. I dunno what Takara made it out of, but it deformed like melted butter with barely any pressure at all.
And yes, it's better than the default configuration, but Menasor is still a top heavy, relatively unbalanced motherfucker who might tip over if you don't pose him just right. You trade better looks for loss of waist articulation and a forced "A" stance with these kits (though of course if you pose him he won't be in an A stance, just his default standing pose will change to an A stance).
