I bought my city hunter when they first came out. So i also know what the articulation is like.
Also, do you even know how lighting works? Looks exactly the same as the production figure, but this is shadowed to make it look more dramatic. Everything else about the paint is spot on with the promo images. The spots MIGHT be random, but everything else is accurate, even the shading.
Given how you said that they had no ankles and are now saying that they have ankles, i don't think you've ever handled the figures. You probably went by some review who just didn't like the thinness of the 1:18 figure, which does make it a little more flexible than something that's in 1:10. But gummy? NOPE, aside from the accessories and hair, which would break super easily if they were hard plastics or make the head immobile
