>>10593285I swear Transtech has low key had a lasting influence in the franchise ever since it was conceived. The strange alien body types, organic shaping/layering, and insectoid faces all made their way directly to the live action films. Scavenger ended up getting an Armada toy (tragically). Cybertron Brakedown’s vehicle mode is clearly inspired by Cheetor, and the robot mode has the same giant wheel-shoulders. WFC/FOC Optimus borrowed “fist on wheels” vehicle mode.
Of course you could argue that they recycled a bunch of ideas so they wouldn’t have to throw away all their money/work, but after 20+ years there’s more to it than that.
