I don't know if I'd feel the same way now or not, but I just found them annoying to transform and play with more than anything. As far as the vehicle modes and details go they were obviously great.
I remember watching Armada, but by that point I had grown out of toys. I didn't get back into Transformers toys until Generations in 2009. But the Super Cario Bros. weren't even all that indicative of the total RID line. They always stood out.
