There are a few different spellings for it but it's the flagship of Qing China's Northern Fleet. It's a German made pre-dreadnought. Some say that the ship had a design flaw where the main turret guns would blow off the bow of flying bridge if they were fired forward but that's been argued to be false, since the sister ship never reported issues.
Anyway, that was the story as to how the flying bridge was destroyed during a battle against the Japanese. I do wonder if maybe there was a catastrophic failure in one of the main guns that caused it though. The officials were really corrupt and it was discovered that much of the ammunition in the fleet were filled with cement and god knows what else.
