Here's the figures compared to a 1:18 figure. 1:12 figures are about 50% larger, so an ML would stand around mid-thigh on Goliath.
So they are roughly more than 2x taller than your standard ML.
And you sound like you weren't on /toy/ during the 1:18 craze. Both Sentinel and Galactus were very hard to get, to the point people would pay scalper prices, including BBTS' mark ups.
The fact that they showed up at Ross doesn't really mean much, considering they had a partnership with Hasbro back then and a lot of their figures showed up there. I mean, i managed to get Black Series Obi Wan, Thrawn, and other OT BS figures there, but no one can say that the Star Wars black series bombed. ... i mean, aside from some really shit sequel characters like Rose.
Also, i don't think the sentinel cost $99. Are you thinking about his re-release with the 1:12 ML line?
