If you actually owned the original megazord as a kid you wouldn't have this crazy obsession with it. Its just a toy, and it really never was better than any of the sentai mecha before or after. If you want a good megazord pick up some recent japanese ones (pre zenkaiger.)

The closer we get to redesigning the megazord the better toy it can become. I love the new gosaurer kits, and i'll probably do a full paintjob on this one, with decals. I will be happy with my super robot gaogaigar styled megazord and you will be stuck seething over who made the closest representation to something we already have accurate representations of.
Accurate representations aren't to get perfectly accurate things, just things that can reasonably substitute into the role and that makes them definitive. See mp-44 vs. TE01 and MS and MP 10 for more info. Mp-44 is perfect, but its clearly worse, and all 3 figure above are better optimus primes despite being less accurate
