You push the button to rotate the carousel until it stops over the desired round - any round. Then you begin loading sequence. Full rotation is like 12 seconds or something.
You can skip rounds, choose anyone on the rack.
It is not like "We put 5 HE in the carousel, then 5 AP then 5 HE, we can't load sabot unless we fire 5 HE first"
