>>7791702>>7792226 (cont.)But I still haven't answered your question, Greg.
The parts being too specialized was actually one of the complaints the original bionicle pitch received, iirc. But by presenting the facade of specialization, then flipping Pohatu's torso upside down and even using one as an engine, they completely outdid the little 2x4 engine bricks lego had, exposing how this "specialization" was all in people's heads. I've more or less thrown dualism and religion out the window, but think of it like god or a higher power: you go from thinking of things as high and low, to thinking of low as deep, flipping the hourglass itself upside down. In one direction, sand pours through, but at the same time boiling water bubbles up from below. And that's when you hear the categorical clap, of Hewkii and Macku fucking. Greg. You faggot. I pick C.
I'll admit hero factory really was a little too specialized. The designers had to switch to a new H part before even finding a single way to innovate with the first one, which was just a transparent block. It was too pre-destined, too messianic, like the whole hero factory line. There was no free will: I imagine hero factory is just where bionicles go when they get a kraata stuck on their brain (note how the villains didn't have villain cores). The hero core was just a key to stick in a hole. But I don't just want Hewkii to have a big cock, Greg: we're talking fully adjustable. Removable even, for when Macku wants a turn. Maybe you can even use it as a finger, or something to start your car. I will not be destiny's pawn.
