>>7927307I still have that little bandai set myself. I remember being super excited for it because before that, the only merch I had seen was an expensive model(or possibly garage kit) of the ship. And basically Outlaw Star never got it's due because it had the bad luck of coming out the same year as Cowboy Bebop, so there was never any fucking discourse over it other than comparing it because they were both sci-fi road trips, even though they were completely different other than that.
>>7931755Basically this, I remember completely hating the faces until I saw the TF2 medic and realized that just having his menacing little eyebrows on there actually gave it a bit of personality.
>>7932346I got these two as well, both being so rare on figure merch and being non humans helped sell me on them.
>>7932915I wouldn't say this is unique to pops at all, though. "All that matters is completing the set" is something I thought only existed in a small subset of toy collectors, but holy shit I realized that's really rampant. I really noticed it in Marvel Legends once I realized that collectors would totally ignore some characters, but then go back and grab them the second a second from their team came out because they suddenly realized 'oh, they'll do the whole set and now I can collect it!' whether or not they ever gave a shit about the character.
