But I believe the shitting the bed was because of splitting resources to make SAS BIG.
Obviously I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the time frame could somewhat support this. Anyone knows when SAS BIG was first announced? I know Gyro 1st was released in July 2017 and SP BIG was released december of the same year. I'm no expert on the subject, but I believe both figures would have been in production during the same time for the releases to be only a few months apart like this.
Even if the production wasn't straight up simultaneous, one would have certainly influenced the other resources wise.
If it was in Medicos interests to make Part 3 characters again, remaking them in the usual scale would have been a much wiser choice. The Steel Ball Run line could come along padded in between the new versions of the SC characters.
