I think a modern comparison of simplicity matched with brilliance would be the TR Triggerhappy figure.
Im extremely cautious about doing it too much though, he feels sturdy but i dont trust the skirt pieces.
Also comparing the two Iguanus with Dilophocon you can really feel the design dna, even if a modern retool of him never happens she still makes a great companion piece akin to Tarantulas and Blackarachnia
