If you wanna make toys of Tarzan or John Carter, you have to either go thru the estate, or someone who already has an established presence with the characters, such as Dynamite or King Features, etc. Dynamite ended up settling and paying them to go away. Dynamite also had characters like The Shadow and Green Hornet, and Red Sonja, and The Boys, and the Chaos Comics characters, among other classic characters they scooped up.
The fact that Bossfight cucked out of a deal with Dynamite is real shitty when you think of the possible figures that could have been made. A RED SONJA FIGURE! Thulsa Doom! John Carter! Dejah Thoris! Vampirella! Purgatori! Evil Ernie! Witchblade! The more and more I thought about it, the more and more mad I was, because these are all toys I would have wanted. I'm honestly surprised they're doing Court of the Dead figures. I'm assuming Eric Arana must be behind those, since he's not as big of a soiboy as Andrew Franks from what I've seen on his social media and videos. Franks reminds me of the stereotypical male feminist who ends up getting #metooed.
