You're probably one of those poorfags who preorders toys because you get a discount and don't like that the majority of sites will sell it at MSRP or at a negligible discount.
Tons and tons of stores will stock 99.99100% most imports long after the mainstream sites sell out. Nevermind there are local import shops who also carry almost every major release.
If you live in bumfuck, nowhere, you can still buy from cdjapan, amazon third party, bbts, or even ebay. There's way more sites than that, but these are the other major ones.
Obviously, exclusives will need to be preordered.

Just because something goes for crazy prices years later doesn't mean it was hard to get. Even shit like Toad from the Marvel Legends line went for crazy prices, despite the fact that he shelf warmed like crazy. Only like 5 years later did completists start searching for him, after they were likely sent to the shredding machine because no one wanted to buy this garbage figure.
