Likewise, comicbooks are dying due to a constant push for new events every few months, constant reboots/Issue #1s/introduction of Legacy characters instead of actual new blood, but the real reason why comics are dying isn't because of toy sales or movie synergy or pandering to an audience that doesn't read comics. The real reason why comics are dying is because it's easier for a new reader to grab the first volume of a manga than it is to figure out what the best point to start reading Superman across his 80+ years of being in comics.
