Some people have living conditions that prevent them from going all the way with painting and top coating but still want to enjoy collecting. Some people have jobs and kids and little time to spend on models and other hobbies they don't want to drop.
There are people on this board that collect digital pets with dated calculator displays, there are people that build Lego sets or collect rubber ducks. Who gives a shit. If collecting and building without tons of extra steps and work is fun then the money isn't wasted at all. It's spent on something enjoyable.
I know this is 4chan but a little empathy goes a long way. At the end of the day this isn't the fucking NFL or EVO. These are plastic model kits. It's really not normal to care in any way what other adults do with them, even if they want to post pictures and share their basic builds. Stop letting your souls get weighed down by Earth's gravity.
