I used to have all 4 of them from the Omega Wars involving Hasbro and the 3 third parties (FT, WJ and DX9), and Siege was objectively the best toy out of all 4. People seethed about its partsforming but that's par for the course with TF fans, while with Diaclone it's the entire point so I can totally see a Robot Base that is functionally similar to Siege Omega, or even the Earthrise Scorponok if they wanted to make it a bit more all-in-one. I still regret letting the Siege go because he would have fit right in with Diaclone and even Legends scale TF stuff.
Coincidentally those two figures proved that TT already knows how to work with big/heavy duty ratchets that they should have at least tried using on the Big Powereds, and would be absolutely necessary on a Robot Base.
