One thing Disney screwed up is neither Rey or Jyn have a pretty or sexy outfit. The first six movies at least understood that if you want to merchandize a woman character to the lowest common denominator, you need at least one eye-catching outfit. They want to have it both ways, dragging in the LCD audience, but also the audience that could appreciate a basic Han or Luke as a girl. It follows over into the unfortunate Bratz dolls, they want dolls for the LCD little girl crowd, but figures for the girls who aren't LCD. They need to pick one. Or stop being retards and trashing Star Wars girl stuff for the benefit of 4 year old princess maniacs who have literally every other girls' product line tailored for them.
