Basically, his chest retracts over his head, his arms lift up over his head and fold forward, and his pelvis rotates back while his legs straighten out to form 'wings' while the weird armatures mentioned above detach from hsi back and clip onto his ankles; his spear splits and clips to his shins. While I never owned any of hte previous versions of him, it seems to be the same transformation scheme as his '09 Voyager figures, from what I can tell from pictures; either way, I didn't find it too impressive.
He has a 5mm peg hole on his underside between his robot mode shoulder blades, so you can mount him to a stand, but for a skeletal looking guy, she's surprisingly heavy.
