They are way too fixated on colour schemes and even defend shit like big single use pieces, which are awful from the perspective of what Lego is. The fact that nostalgiafags will praise the sets of castles despite them being the worst kind of set in nearly every castle subtheme should tell you all you need to know. To expand on the castle point the sets of actual big castles were almost all overpriced and lazy/boring designs, look at pic related and consider that it cost the equivalent of $180 new, or that the cute og yellow castle cost the equivalent of $150, for something that would’ve been cheaper to make with generic bricks. Though both these sets speak to one of the better things about old sets, more minifigs
