>>8035307All we can know is how many features/qualities these companies share. Japanese companies aren't paying China more, based on this knowledge. Their profit margin is increased by waaaay more, because of that overcharging for nerd shit that Japan is known for.
And you're ignoring the fact that DCC and most collector companies are using more paint apps than companies like Good Smile and Bandai. They also have as much or more engineering, as i've pointed out with DCC's premium line and McFarlane's current stuff.
Also, Hasbro is making childrens toys at a budget. Not McFarlane. Not DCC. Not NECA. Etc etc etc. They increase their prices as they see fit. In McFarlane's case, he brought down prices as seen with his DC line, despite sharing the same standards as his more expensive Fortnite line.
Also, while it's true that accessories will raise costs, because that's increasing the amount of molds they need to produce, but Hasbro is known for giving their toys a shitload of accessories. See their GI Joe line.
Granted, this was still within their budget because each wave got a budget, instead of each figure was given a budget. So other figures had fewer shit, so figures like this could get way more cool shit.
Anyway, the point is that accessory count is not as expensive as you think it is. It doesn't magically increase the price for ANY toy 2-3x... unless there's some features like electronics, tailored clothing, or precious metals/gems. Even then, electronics don't even increase prices by 1.5x. Tailored clothing might, depending on the complexity.
