I live in Toronto which is a city that actually has over 2 million people, and there's malls everywhere. The podiums for high rise condos at major intersections almost always include some sort of mall and then there's the underground network downtown which I suppose can be considered a mall of sorts.
Maybe this is just a problem in foreign countries I don't know or really care about the situation outside Canada.
I guess because America is so warm the appeal of indoor shopping isn't really there like in Canada
