If we all remember how the retards literally canned a mario modder just because he advertised belief that pedos weren't mistakable for being called black persons when they attack and got gunned down by a child they tried to assault. Take that with any other animators/projects, we can tell they are plenty willing to cut projects in half or even entirely.
Being that the game looks like it could be salvaged into something like a Metroid game with powers and real character interaction (hell because of the feel and textures working in that case you could even have mods for story and/or npc characters for actual exposition)
