He's also not a toddler, but I also don't exactly understand why they decided to make a child tama into a doggy. Again I like it' but it's a weird choice. I don't see this "basic form" thing at all, to me all the tama feel pretty unique, hell a lot of them really don't care about the accessories completely covering them from head to toe. My latest one was a Hotcaketchi and I didn't want to look at him so I pretty much hid him behind every accessory possible, you'd never be able to tell.
You're absolutely right about the friend codes thing. What's the point of giving it wifi when you're still locking features being local play? But that is also why I'm disappointed in the Paradise, they had the chance to finally improve upon it but no, we just don't get to choose, it's local or bust
And I think the tamaverse NPCs are based around actual tama from other users, I've heard of people seeing each other's tama exactly like they were supposed to be but I can't be sure
