Anyway, the point is that the cost for the figure is very high for the amount of paint apps and number of pieces their toys were made of. QC was also pretty high, though the washes can sometimes look sloppy (as is the nature of washes). Production costs was pretty high.
MLs and Figuarts were pretty much equal in costs, but as i said, it's an unfair comparison since mass market vs collectors market. 100,000s vs 10,000s.
Which is why i bring up McFarlane and DC Direct, especially DCD because they've increased their budgets without increasing costs even though they've about doubled their molded pieces from including more joints.
The guy was wondering how they can get away with charging as much money as they do for a Japanese product, and you're only showing him why.
They'll charge as much as they do because and people will defend that overcharging with all their might.
