If you want to paint your stuff, that's what the blanks are for. The line exists as a pre-painted, pre-assembled toyline and that's what they're charging you for.
For the WH40k series, paint is extremely important and actually part of the mythos, since shit is always in short supply and the constant warring. So even the Primaris marines will still look roughed up.
Nevermind the fact that the line would be instantly be impressive to anyone just passing the shelves. It's a better selling point than however many footfags like you exist.
Remember when McFarlane was known for their godtier paint? I do. It'd be nice if they put more of their budget back into paint by taking away literally worthless joints like toes.
