Counterintuitive, crazy idea, here we go. What about making revos of the Eva characters in their plugsuits, 1/12. Part of E.E. line, but since it's Yamaguchi anyways they're just like the AY. Harley turned out great including the face sculpt, and Gwen already did skin tight suit right, just perfect it with the new joints. Figma were okay but Asuka was not her regular suit, and no Shinji or Kaworu as usual. Fraulein were in adifferent scale. You may ask "they don't need such articulation" but the female AY still looks good in normal poses and some non-dynamic posing still requires good articulation to pull off.
I'm amazed Bandai didn't make SH Figuarts by now. Kaiyodo has their dedicated Eva line, why not take full advantage and fill that gap. Just the main 3 Shinji, Asuka, and Rei would do.
