>>6420607Retaliation tried to fix things by doing high quality updates of figures from the 25th line as Ultimates. Pic related is the unreleased Ultimate Roadblock that we're sorta getting in the SDCC set. It had a head and vest to make him Roadblock version 2 along with the Renegades version.
I think Hasbro is trying to make cheaper exclusive Joes by doing things outside of the club with these recent sets they're doing.
As for all the good figures being exclusive, it's because Hasbro isn't doing classic 25th style figures that are true to the cartoons and comics anymore. At retail they're trying to do new things and so we'll rarely get any sought after unmade characters. 50th sought to appease everyone, re-releasing hard to get figures and concept case figures and new versions of characters. 50th and Retaliation were the two best lines in my view.
