>>9824979There was a bunch of ways we went about giveaways that I recall.
One was the more chaotic method where the OP would make a thread announcing a time and date their giveaways would start. Then they would make a post that it was starting, and post an email. Also some simple instructions like: you have to send an email with your address and the name of the toy in the subject field. As a side note it didn't matter if you knew what the toy was, a quick description counted. Then they would post a pic of a toy and the first person to send an email as per the instructions got it.
The other common giveaway was lottery style. Someone would post a giveaway thread with a pic of the toy they were giving away and an email. Then they would specify how long anons would have to enter. At the end the anon would count the entries and use a random number generator to select a winner.
There were also some giveaways done contest style, where the giver would have anons post pics of their toys in a specific pose or have to set up a particular scene. Then they chose the one they liked most to win.
And then there was one guy who just gave random toys to whoever entered their giveaway. Totally random, from revoltech and figma to simpler toys like keshi and cars.
These days, the best way to go about it would probably be the lottery or contest style. In fact, the last time the board had a giveaway was lottery style.
