Walmart built a glass display for them so you could spin a wheel and see the boys turn into girls. The dolls themselves shelf warmed hard. I thought they were all $30 since that's what they were asking for when they were Amazon exclusives. By the time they hit stores it was too little too late. The shock value was gone, people rejected them, and probably worse of all they were hella expensive for what you actually got. I found out that there were shit $13 budget versions that only came with their underwear, and weren't even given shoes.
Saw them all on clearance this week while hunting for Rainbow High dolls. The $30 packs were $8.99 and the $13 budget ones were $3.88
Sadly they were sold out of the blonde boy at the $3.88 price point. They still had him but in the big $8.99 sets so I bought the two and just returned the big set, and kept the budget set with the one I wanted. The wig looks horrible on him so I'm keeping him as a boy.
