>>8274868>>8274874If they actually believed that, they wouldn't go around trying to make things up, trying to justify the costs.
Like claiming that cutting away the sculpt to increase the range of motion, like that somehow costs more money.
Or this thread for example, where they don't want to believe that childrens toys aren't childrens toys, because a lot of collectors like stuff like OP over collector brands.
I mean, the fact that you talk about quality is also funny, because you guys sure never pitched a fit to defend this shit when it first came out.
Also that whole hooting about face printing, which was actually a cost cutting feature using technology that was featured on 5 year old children's toys.
>>8274881After a certain point, you're not really getting higher quality, but just brand name. Lots of cheapshit stuff are of equal quality to higher end brands. I had old navy shirts last me over a decade. Not so with my Banana Republic shirts.
Same shit with even cheaper sports wear from Russel, which lasted even longer than old navy.
To bring that analogy over to toys, it's pretty much the Black series SW figures vs pretty much any other SW line. Sometimes the BS series has the best sculpt, paint, and articulation isn't really better on any of the versions. Sometimes the more expensive collectors line might have nicer QC, but is that worth the $40-60 leap in price? LOL NO.
See also collector lines like DCC releasing Figuart clones for $30 less than a Figuarts. Prices aint justified.
