This is why I laugh at accusations of kibbleforming or shellformig in the beast era. The aesthetic makes them look like they're warriors wearing pelts. It looks cool, and repurposing beast bits as mecha greebling looks cool. Compare it to carformers like the RiD car brothers or movie bots and it looks more like a wreck. Jetformers can get away with it better because the thin and dynamic shapes of a jet feel more mecha.

I'm tempted to buy a MP Lio Convoy, the lion mode is ugly but, I'll be honest, I'm most likely going to keep it in robot mode.
Speaking of said robot mode looks really slick and also will scale better with my Big Convoy (not perfect but better than how the original does).
A local store has it for 145 but they have like 30 of them so I think there is a high chance it'll go on sale.
