Seeing how other people were able to remove the yellowing with hydrogen peroxide, the yellowing in THIS case might be a special layer of something that allows plastic to be chromed. I have no idea how to remove that tho. If I find a way to sand it off without visible scratches I will try it some time in the future.
Indeed I expected it to be milky white too.
