So here's how it looks like after the basic painting, but admittedly not much is visible, even though I stuck it in a lightbox.
I did the basecoat in H309, highlighted areas with the same color lightened, and then dumped the paint back into the mixing tray, added more white, and used that for some drybrushing. It doesn't really show up on the pic, but it's more extreme irl, so I'm hoping all the washes and filters will tone it down a bit, but this is a cheap practice kit anyway, so it's no biggie if it turns out horrendous. Hopefully by then I'll figure out how to photograph this thing.
